VISION
To be a church where people are FINDING LIFE & SHARING HOPE!
KNOW GOD
We consider reaching people one of our greatest responsibilities. Our weekend services serve people at all stages in their spiritual journey. We consistently strive to provide a welcoming environment to the unchurched without compromising our focus on worship, prayer, and the word.
GROW TOGETHER
Real life change happens in the context of relationships – small groups. In the Bible, they worshipped in the temple but ministry happened house to house.
DISCOVER PURPOSE
Our desire is that you take a step towards discovering your purpose and reaching your potential! The Full Life Growth Track offers the information and experiences necessary to help you discover and develop your redemptive purpose. The Growth Track is designed to lead you through a step-by-step process of growth and leadership.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
All of us were created by God to make a difference in the life of another person. God has a place for you where your unique abilities and passions can touch the lives of others. We believe that your life will never make sense until you find, develop, and fulfill that purpose.
VALUES
YOU ARE LOVED
Everyone is welcome! Everyone is needed! Everyone is changed! We want to be a place where people are accepted in an atmosphere of love and grace, where people share their hearts and resources and support each other through the ups and downs of life.
PRESENCE DRIVEN
God's presence changes everything! We are 100% dependent upon the Holy Spirit and therefore honor Him above anyone or anything. If the presence of God is not welcomed, we're not interested!
GENEROSITY
God has blessed us so that we might be a blessing to others. It is impossible to out-give God, and there's nothing more fulfilling than to be used by God to bless the lives of others. God has given richly toward us, it's our honor to give back to Him.
TEAMWORK
We are better together! God has placed different gifts and talents in all of us, and when we work together we are much more effective. Jesus could have fulfilled His ministry alone, but he chose to work with a team. Every leader is a servant first. From the parking lot to the pulpit, everyone serves. Every role is different but they are all important. If you ain't helping, you ain't helping!
JOY
Life and church were never meant to be boring! Jesus promised life "more abundantly" and we love living the life He's given us. Whether big or small, we are always looking for an excuse to celebrate.
LIFE-CHANGING
Everyone is called to grow & mature in their walk with Christ. If you're not growing, something isn't right! Above all we hope you can grow here at your own pace and discover the boundless grace of God and His offer of a great life now and forever.
EXCELLENCE
We are going to always do the best with what we have. In all we do, we desire to glorify God and give praise to Him for all that we accomplish. Our excellence is guided by our desire to show Christ's love in each detail, whether task or relationally driven. Excellence honors God and inspires people.
BELIEFS
In our church we consider following Jesus to be very personal. Why? Because we believe in a personal God who loves and cares about you. He knows what you need, and He wants to be involved in your life. We believe God brings those who accept His Son Jesus into His spiritual family and gives them the most fulfilling life. God's Holy Spirit actually comes to live in them and helps them to live for Him. This very personal relationship makes possible the most meaningful worship.
The Bible
The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about daily living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any form of error (including scientific and historical). (I Tim 1:13 & 3 :16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; I Cor 2:13; Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 30:5)
God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1, 26, 27 & 3:22; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus came to this earth in the flesh, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and lived a sinless human life as God in a body.
Jesus offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He physically rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.
Jesus ascended to Heaven and will physically return again someday to earth to reign as King. (Matt 1:22,23; John 1:1-5,14; Heb 4:14-15; 1 Cor 15:3-4; Rom 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Tim 6:14-15; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6)
Human Beings
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life. (Gen 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Rom 3:23)
Salvation
Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty of death.
When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Rom 6:23; Eph 2:8-9; John 14:6, 1:2; Gal 3:26; Rom 5:1, 10:9-10)
Communion
We regularly practice (usually once a month) Communion or the Lord's Supper in our weekend service. Jesus initiated this practice (I Cor 11:28-32) as a way to help us remember His death and resurrection.
Water Baptism
We practice baptism by fully immersing a person in water. Baptism is not necessary for salvation, but is simply a choice that is made to obey Jesus' command and to follow His example. Teens are encouraged to be water baptized as well (those under age 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian). At Full Life, we baptize people "in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit."(Matthew 3:13-17; 28;19; Acts 2:34-36; 19:1-6).
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
When a person begins a relationship with Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit begins to live inside the believer at the moment of salvation. We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a biblical experience to follow salvation (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; Gal 3:14-15). This baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to every believer who asks God for it.
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
In 1 Corinthians 12-14, the Bible lists many gifts of the Holy Spirit. The First Century Church practiced these gifts regularly and we should as well. We desire to have these gifts functioning within the members of our local church family too.
Physical Healing in Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus' death on the cross provided physical healing to our human bodies. God's miracle power for healing is freely given to us as we pray in faith. (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matt 8:16,17; James 5:14-16).
What denomination is Full Life affiliated with?
Full Life is an Assembly of God Church. In the early 1900s a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place across North America. Beginning in Topeka, Kansas, in January 1901, this great revival movement eventually paved the way for the formation of the Assemblies of God in 1914 The first meeting of the Assemblies of God was held in Hot Springs, Arkansas, in April 1914. This meeting brought together about 300 church leaders who were apprehensive about creating another denomination. These leaders agreed to form a loosely knit fellowship of independent churches called the Assemblies of God.
Why not just be an Independent Church?
For the most part, Full Life is an independent church. Every Assemblies of God church is completely independent. There is no denominational control or hierarchy as in some denominations. Full Life is self-governed and we make our own decisions. For example:
Every AG church chooses its own pastor.
Every AG church owns its own buildings and assets.
Every AG church determines its own ministries.
What are the advantages of affiliating with the Assemblies of God?
It allows us to identify with other Christians around the world who are known for their commitment to the Bible and to the power of the Holy Spirit. Unlike other groups, the Assemblies of God has no man-made "creed." The Bible is our only authority. It allows our church to participate in one of the fastest growing missionary organizations in the world. Through the Assemblies of God we help support missionaries in countries around the world.
